ELANA SHIPPEN, P.E.

Elana is a licensed professional engineer in mechanical engineering with 25 years of experience, including 15 years in the aerospace industry with the Boeing Company's commercial airplanes program. She has served as an engineering manager, lead project engineer, or project manager.

She has a very strong background in engineering and other technical fields such as HVAC systems for commercial buildings, Lean Manufacturing, the Toyota Production System (TPS), and project management.

It is Elana's unique combination of knowledge and experience as a professional engineer and her degree in technical communication that makes her a great asset to any organization or individual who is seeking professional technical communication expertise.

Elana has extensive experience with writing, editing, and project management for technical, scientific, academic, and business documentation applications. She has edited a number of technical books and has worked with numerous Masters and PhD candidates as well as professors teaching engineering, IT and/or business courses. In addition, she has been the editor-in-chief for several issues of a technical and business career magazine with a circulation of 2 million copies and has overseen very large document production projects.
